Our Executive Chef, Philippe Forcioli, was one of the top chefs in the region before leaving Rockford to join long-time friend Jean-Georges Vongerichten as Corporate Executive Chef, opening several 5-star restaurants around the world. He has been anxious to return home to Rockford to make Cliffbreakers the best dining experience in the Rockford/Chicago area.

Philippe and his staff invite you to choose one of our delicious entrees and pair it with a wine from our extensive wine list. Our attentive and non-intrusive staff will accommodate your every request and will make you feel at ease from the moment you enter Cliffbreakers. We strive to make every day a special occasion at Cliffbreakers.

We invite you to join us for our Friday Night Seafood Extravaganza (seating from 5p-9p every Friday) and our Champagne Sunday Brunch (10:30-1:00). Our Grand Buffets offer countless entrees that are sure to please even the most discriminating palates.

Cliffbreakers Fauerbach Tap Room and Bar and The Martini Lounge

In 1848, the now-famous Fauerbach family created a soon-to-be very successful brewery in Madison, Wisconsin. Decades of success followed, but alcohol-related laws changed, small American brewers fell on hard times and the Fauerbach brewery did not survive. The brewery itself was demolished, but the family had the hopeful forsight to save the historic tap room and the precious recipes. It was their hope that perhaps one of their descendants would reenter the brewing business. The Tap Room was installed first at the Wagon Wheel Resort in Rockton, Illinois and eventually found its permanent home here at Cliffbreakers. The Fauerbach grandchildren HAVE reentered the brewing business and, along with the finest selection of wines and spirits from around the world, Cliffbreakers guests enjoy the original Fauerbach amber beer on tap and in bottle in it's original setting.

Specialty drinks daily, live music on Saturdays, outstanding pub grub or our fine dining menus entice our hotel guests and locals throughout the day to while away their hours in the most comfortable bar and lounge setting in the Rockford area.
